Principles of hair loss
On average, each person naturally loses 80 – 100 hairs a day as a normal part of the hair’s natural growth cycle.
However, when the blood supply to the hair follicles becomes less efficient or the scalp environment falls out of balance, the hair growth cycle can be disrupted. This weakens the hair, making it more prone to falling out.
The consequences may include:
– Losing more than 100 hair per day
– Continuous hair loss over an extended period
– Noticeable clumps of hair falling out when washing, brushing, or running fingers through the hair
– Gradual hair loss or the appearance of bald patches
Prolonged hair loss affects more than just scalp and hair health – it can also have a significant impact on one’s appearance and emotional well-being.
